Role: AI Architect Azure Job Location: Tokyo, Japan Employment Type: Full Time/Direct Hire Work Experience Required: 12-20 years Languages Required: Japanese (Native speaker preferred) and English (Read/Write) Remote Status: Partially Remote Position Overview: LTIMindTree is seeking an experienced AI Architect to work in collaboration with Microsoft Japan. This is a high-impact, client-facing role focused on architecting and implementing enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions on the Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise combined with strong leadership and customer engagement capabilities. Key Responsibilities: • Architect, design, and implement enterprise Generative AI solutions on-premises, in the cloud, and using hybrid models • Lead technical architecture discussions and own end-to-end AI solution governance across diverse environments • Deploy and manage a variety of generative models, including fine-tuning and customizing pretrained AI models • Develop and deliver customer upskilling sessions and technical workshops • Manage various stakeholder relationships to gain consensus on complex technical solutions • Prepare solution presentations and support pre-sales activities • Guide, manage, and govern technical teams on AI architecture implementations • Mentor team members and conduct architecture reviews Core Technical Requirements: • Minimum 12+ years of IT experience with minimum 5+ years of hands-on Azure experience • Strong expertise in architecting solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments • Deep hands-on experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) • Advanced proficiency in Azure OpenAI, Prompt Engineering, Azure Cognitive Search, and Vector Databases • Demonstrated experience fine-tuning and customizing pretrained AI models • Strong Python and PySpark programming skills • Production-grade GenAI solution deployment experience • Enterprise customer-facing consulting and architecture experience • Flexible to work in shifts Primary Skills: • Azure AI ecosystem and architecture • Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI • Azure OpenAI and GPT model deployments • Prompt Engineering and optimization • Vector Databases (Azure AI Search, Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, Qdrant, Milvus, or Elasticsearch) • Azure Cognitive Search implementation • Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions • Python development and API integration for AI workloads • PySpark for large-scale data processing • Hybrid cloud architecture • Team leadership and technical governance Secondary Skills (Preferred): • MLOps and LLMOps • Databricks • AI model fine-tuning and transfer learning • Azure ML Pipelines • CI/CD for AI • AI governance frameworks Mandatory Certifications: • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) Preferred Certifications: • Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-303 & AZ-304) • AI-102: Microsoft Certified Azure AI Engineer Associate • DP-100: Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate • Databricks Professional Certificate in Large Language Models • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Soft Skills & Competencies: • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Strong customer relationship building and stakeholder management • Ability to conduct executive-level presentations and client workshops • Excellent problem-solving skills • Positive attitude and collaborative approach • Customer enablement and training delivery capability • Enterprise solution thinking and delivery mindset Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a recognized university • Native Japanese speaker with business-level English proficiency • Currently located in Japan or willing to relocate • No current Microsoft Japan employees (former employees considered) • Age is not a barrier; senior candidates up to 62-63 years are welcome Why This Is a Good Opportunity: • Architect real-world Azure Generative AI solutions using cutting-edge technologies • Own end-to-end AI architecture across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments • Work in a high-impact, client-facing role shaping enterprise AI adoption in Japan • Build future-proof expertise in GenAI, MLOps/LLMOps, and Azure AI • Hybrid/partially remote work arrangement in Tokyo with global project exposure • Strong career growth opportunities with a leading IT consulting firm • Collaboration with Microsoft Japan and exposure to enterprise customers Compensation: • Annual Salary: ¥1,800,000 - ¥2,300,000 JPY • Currency: Japanese Yen Recruiter Notes: This role prioritizes Native Japanese candidates to support Japanese enterprise customers.
