Business Process Improvement Manager / Operations Efficiency Manager

An innovative and stable Ukrainian MilTech company that develops high-tech hardware solutions is looking for someone who will go into individual departments, analyze their work, find bottlenecks, describe and implement workflows, and help managers build systems for management, reporting, and performance tracking.

Expected outcomes:

Priority #1 (first 3 months) — bring order to recruiting
You'll enter the department, analyze how it operates, and find bottlenecks. Why is hiring slow? Where are the holdups? Your job is to describe and standardize the process: who does what, how tasks are handed off, who owns what. Then implement (or revise) KPIs, reporting, and templates that actually help people work. The final deliverable: you successfully hand off a functioning system to the department head for independent operation.

Next steps — optimizing other departments
After recruiting, you move on to other parts of the company. Same principle: quick diagnosis, finding the root causes of why processes are stalling, and introducing clear rules. Special focus on how departments interact with each other.

Experience we're looking for:

  • Bottleneck removal (debottlenecking). You can give examples of joining a company, finding a problem, and solving it. Ideally multiple cases from different areas or departments to demonstrate your versatility.
  • Ability to conduct an "as-is" audit, design a "to-be" state, and write viable rules that people actually use.
  • Detailed cases of how you've entered already-established teams, overcome resistance, and taught people to work by new rules.
  • Ability to create simple templates, set realistic KPIs, and build clear reporting.

We don't need theorists. In the interview, we will talk exclusively about your real cases to confirm you can actually deliver.

Who you need to be:

  • A born optimizer. You're a perfectionist. You see a problem and immediately think about how to change the algorithm. Everything should run like clockwork.
  • You're ready to dive into the day-to-day routine to understand why a process works the way it does — and figure out how to improve it.
  • You communicate in specifics and metrics, without filler. Phrases like "I optimize processes" with no concrete numbers won't cut it.
  • You can identify cause-and-effect relationships and notice small details. You quickly find alternatives: spot a problem, find a fix, implement it, move on.
  • You take ownership of your decisions and can defend them with reasoning. You distinguish objective constraints from plain laziness or incompetence, and you're not afraid to let underperformers go.
  • Maximum output relative to resources spent (time, money, people). Ability to manage many tasks simultaneously and work overtime when the situation demands it.

What we offer:

  • Military service deferment for employees.
  • Timely and competitive salary (open to compensation discussions), paid without delays.
  • A comfortable bomb shelter with stable internet.
  • Access to professional events, professional and personal development.
  • Relocation support.
  • Free and tasty set lunches.
  • Official employment, paid sick leave and vacation.
  • The chance to contribute to a company building solutions that are shaping the future!
