Cameriere di Sala

We are looking for a waiter/waitress (cameriere/cameriera) for a large, busy restaurant located in Merate, in the province of Lecco, Lombardy, Italy. The restaurant serves a high volume of covers daily and requires staff who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Role responsibilities include taking food and beverage orders, serving tables efficiently, managing multiple tables simultaneously, handling cash and card payments, communicating clearly with the kitchen, maintaining cleanliness and mise en place of the dining area, and delivering a warm and professional guest experience from arrival to departure. Ideal candidate profile: The candidate should have at least 1 year of experience working as a waiter or in a front-of-house hospitality role in a restaurant, trattoria, pizzeria, or similar establishment. Experience in high-volume or high-turnover service is a strong plus. The candidate must be physically fit, able to stand for long shifts, carry trays, and work split shifts including evenings and weekends. A professional attitude, punctuality, and a genuine passion for hospitality are essential. Language: Fluency in Italian is required. Basic English is a plus for serving international guests. Location requirement: The candidate must be based in or willing to commute to Merate (LC) or surrounding municipalities including Calco, Cernusco Lombardone, Osnago, Lomagna, Airuno, Olgiate Molgora, Missaglia, or elsewhere in the Brianza Lecchese or Brianza Comasca area. Candidates from the broader Lecco and Monza-Brianza provinces are also welcome. Contract: The position is offered under the CCNL Turismo e Pubblici Esercizi (Italian national collective labor agreement for hospitality), with full-time or part-time options depending on availability. Both permanent and fixed-term contracts may be considered depending on the candidate's profile.
