Data Engineering Lead

Position: Data Engineering Lead Employment Type: Full-time Location: Onsite - Dublin, Ireland DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Data Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of scalable data engineering solutions. You will build and optimize large-scale data pipelines for analytics and machine learning use cases, while designing and maintaining reusable, high-performance data products and frameworks. Your role includes integrating data from multiple structured and unstructured sources into unified platforms and driving automation across data engineering and data science workflows. You will define and evolve data architecture to support scalability, reliability, and performance, identifying opportunities to simplify complex systems and improve platform efficiency. Ensuring best practices in engineering design, coding standards, and system reliability is critical, as is collaborating on the design of distributed systems and cloud-based data platforms. Collaboration is key—you will work closely with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. You will support cross-functional delivery of data-driven products and services while communicating technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. As a leader, you will lead and mentor data engineers across projects and squads, provide technical guidance, and support engineering capability development. You will contribute to team growth and engineering excellence across the organization while promoting agile delivery and collaborative engineering practices. Technically, you will develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines, optimize performance of data processing systems and workflows, ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency across platforms, and support production-grade deployment of data engineering solutions.
