We’re partnering with an innovative early-stage aviation technology company that is transforming airport ground operations through real-time software solutions. Their mobile application serves as the operational backbone for ramp agents and airport teams, enabling faster coordination, improved efficiency, and seamless communication across airport environments.

As the company continues to scale across multiple airports, they are looking for a highly skilled iOS Engineer to help build and enhance a mission-critical mobile platform used in fast-paced operational settings.

Role Overview

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced iOS developer (approximately 5–12 years of experience) who enjoys building high-impact mobile products end-to-end. The role offers significant ownership and autonomy, with the chance to contribute directly to product direction, user experience, application architecture, and long-term scalability.

You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and operational stakeholders to deliver reliable mobile experiences where performance and usability are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship high-quality features for a production iOS application used in real-time airport operations.
• Take ownership of the complete feature lifecycle — from understanding operational workflows and gathering user feedback to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements.
• Collaborate directly with airport operations teams and ramp agents to translate real-world operational challenges into scalable mobile solutions.
• Improve application stability, performance, reliability, and scalability as the product expands across airports and operational teams.
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks, including UI testing and Appium-based test suites, to ensure code quality and robust releases.
• Work closely with product design while also contributing to UI/UX decisions and implementing intuitive mobile interfaces using modern iOS technologies.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making within a lean, high-performing team.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–12 years of professional experience developing iOS applications.
• Strong expertise in Swift and modern iOS development frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with SwiftUI, Core Data, Apple SDKs, and standard iOS development tools.
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, performance optimization, and scalability.
• Experience working in product-focused companies where the mobile application was the primary product experience.
• Proven ability to independently own projects and drive execution without heavy reliance on product managers or large QA teams.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks, including UI testing and Appium-based testing approaches.
• Proficiency with Git/GitHub and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to thrive in fast-moving startup or early-stage environments with high ownership and accountability.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a user-first mindset.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Exposure to aviation, aerospace, logistics, transportation, or other operational technology products.
• Interest in mentoring, technical leadership, and growing into broader engineering ownership responsibilities over time.
